After that, I decided to take a walk by the Adda River. It’s beautiful there, man. The water sparkles like diamonds. But then, I see this kid, maybe 10 years old, trying to fish. He’s got this tiny rod, and I’m thinking, “Aww, cute.” But then he yanks it up, and it’s just a shoe. A single, lonely shoe. I couldn’t help but crack up. Like, what’s the catch of the day? A lost sneaker?
