The woman didn't speak much English. She was Asian of some sort, and started me face down, and did some weird disjointed thing on my back and shoulders.

Oh, and btw, seriously, don’t miss out on the local diner right next to River Rd. The pancakes are bomb, and sometimes I swear they remind me of that iconic “I can’t breathe!” moment from the movie – but, like, in the best way, you know? Trust me, babe, Destrehan's vibe is totally unforgettable, even if it has its drama, its grit, and, like, the most unexpected turns ever.
