I lived in Christie Downs for 5 years in a pretty bad area. Saw at least 5 arrests, several police raids, plenty of house fires which were mostly grow houses.

I love the neighborhoods too. Check out Redwood Quarters – small, artsy, with quirky little shops. Wander over to Birch Avenue where street art almost shouts for attention, missing the absurd but enchanting character of this place. Not to mention Spindle Park, where the community gathers for weekend picnics, spontaneous music sessions, and even a dab of yelling at each other in fun debate sometimes. I mean, we’re all human, eh?
