Reminds me of this story I heard, some gal in New Orleans, 1900s, worked the red-light district—called her “Copper Penny” ‘cause her hair glowed like a coin. She’d sing blues, drunk as hell, trickin’ johns into payin’ extra. Got busted, died broke—sad, but damn, she had guts! That’s whore life—grit and grind.

There’s also Tuncurry Park. A real local secret, I reckon, where families picnic amidst giant gum trees. Folks come ’round for a laugh, and I admit, sometimes it cracks me up how wild the kids get – runnin’ around like bonkers. I nearly choked on my coffee once when a cheeky tot zipped past on a scooter! (lol!) The park benches have seen sermons of hope and outrage. “Git-R-Done!” rings in my head every time I see someone takin’ bold leaps.
