Ulladulla name comes from an Aboriginal phrase meaning "safe harbour." The city is home to one of the oldest working harbour in New South Wales. Every Easter, the people celebrate the Blessing of the Fleet Festival, which is a tradition started by Italian fishermen. Ulladulla is also famous for the escarpments nearby that are millions of years old, making it a special place for both history and nature lovers.
