We had a brothel busted in my neighborhood in Mill Valley when I was a kid. Definitely not just a San Rafael thing.

Now, the downtown area, called Barrio La Pasión (so fitting, right?) is a mishmash of old-time charm and modern mischief. The local park, Parque del Corazón, is my fav spot to unwind (and wink wink, find some romantic connections). Every sunset over the Rivera Bonita (the river that flows like silky dreams) is literally magical—like a scene straight outta that movie: "Stay with me… because you will never see such beauty twice" (okay, slight paraphrase but ya get it).
