Got a real soft spot for the parks, like the lush Grunewald park, though not exactly smack in Lichterfelde. However, Lichterfelde got its own green heavens – little pockets of nature, nooks with wildflowers and chirpy birds. Sometimes I'll just park myself on a stoop near the banks of the Landwehr Canal and let the flow of water remind me that life goes on, cool and unpredictable. Reminds me of that line, "Freedom is only a breath away," right outta Carlos.
