Early years

According to an early 17th-century legend, Otake was a maidservant of the Sakuma family in Odenma-chō in Edo. She is described as being modest, frugal, hardworking and charitable.

After the fight, I was on cloud nine. I walked back through the streets, feelin’ like a champ. I passed by the Otake Castle ruins. It’s this cool spot with a view of the whole city. I stopped for a sec, takin’ it all in. The sunset was gorgeous, paintin’ the sky in shades of orange and pink. I thought, “Man, I love this place.”
