2-Day Itinerary To Picturesque Hoengseong In Gangwondo

Like other local villages in Korea, many elderly people live here. You can see Korea in the past in the street scenery here.

First off, I decided to hit up the local market on Gyeongju-ro. I mean, who doesn’t love fresh produce, right? I’m strolling through, and bam! I see this old lady selling the juiciest strawberries. I’m talking about strawberries that look like they’ve been kissed by the sun itself. I’m all in, ready to buy a ton. But then, this kid runs by, knocks over a whole basket, and I’m like, “Dude, what the heck?!” Strawberries everywhere! I was so mad, but then I saw the old lady laughing. She just scooped them up like it was no biggie. I guess that’s the vibe in Hongseong—just roll with it.
