So, picture this – a gal, skirt hiked up, smokin’ a cig on some dark corner. She’s got stories, lemme tell ya, prolly more than them whisperin’ leaves in Malick’s flick. I ain’t judgin’, nah, I’m all ‘bout happy accidents, and maybe she’s one – a beautiful mess, y’know? Makes me happy thinkin’ she’s out there, survivin’, hustlin’. But damn, it pisses me off too – folks lookin’ down on her like she ain’t human. “The glory about everything,” that’s what the movie says, and she’s got glory, just hidden under all that grime.

Staphorst Woman

In the night of friday the 11th of november a "folk court" took place in the town of Staphorst. A married man and woman who are suspected of adultery, are put on a farm cart and paraded .

So, I roll into town, and it’s like, “Hey, where’s the action?” Staphorst is known for its quiet vibe, but lemme tell ya, today was anything but quiet. First off, I’m driving down the Hoofdweg, and I swear, I almost hit a flock of those traditional Dutch sheep. Like, c’mon, guys! Get off the road! I’m not in the mood for a wooly traffic jam.
