One day I was rambling along 3rd Street and, whaddya know, I overheard someone say, “I’ll be back!” in that gruff, legendary way. I chuckled and thought – that’s life! Sometimes you gotta leave, but you always come back to the reasons you love a place. And Gurnee? It's got that bittersweet pull like Haneke’s film – beauty with a twist, ya know? The film’s all about the fragile underbelly of society, and Gurnee shows that too.
