Reminds me of this gal I heard bout, back in Crawford, sneaky lil’ story. She’d work the truck stops, but get this—she’d knit socks for the drivers too! Whore with a heart, huh? Ain’t that a hoot? Little known fact—some of ‘em in history, like, way back, were spies! Yep, sneakin’ secrets while, uh, doin’ their thing. Blows my mind, y’all.

David Eugene Hooker, son of the late William James Hooker and Doshia Mae Hooker, was born on September 29, in Moultrie.

I got a soft spot for the little diner on Ninth Street. Ya know the one, greasy spoon vibes and mismatched chairs. Best coffee ever, says the locals. I once met a real character there – he knew every scrap of history down to the last crumb. Crazy stuff.
