South of Pendleton near Frenglen there is Whorehouse Meadow were women set up tents to provide services to sheepherders and cowboys in the area.

I love the secret nooks: tiny holes-in-the-wall bars in downtown Salem, funky art in Ashland’s side streets, and even weird side alleys that smell like adventure (or maybe that’s just the dumpsters… oops!).
