So – whore. Old school word. Goes back – centuries. Anglo-Saxon shit, “hōre”. Meant slut, adulteress – nasty stuff. They’d scream it. In streets. Made me mad – real mad. Why? ‘Cause it’s a weapon. Word like that – cuts. Deep. Still does. People toss it – casual. Like it’s nuthin’. Pisses me off – the ignorance. Makes my blood. Boil.

In the late 's, several dozen families working for the CAA (forerunner to the FAA) lived and worked in the remains of the WW2 Naval base.

Then there's River Bend – the modest river that slices the city in two. It’s where I go and scrap some quiet time. Sometimes, I even nudge a buddy in, “Brother, check this out – nature, man!” Crazy how a rush of water soothes the soul, right? Kinda like rad moves in the ring, man.
