Martha is Dead is a psychological horror game, as too was its predecessor Town of Light by the same studio. Both games deal with severe trauma and abuse.

I grew up surviving my own crap and counseling gals in need. One day, I was walking down Birch Blvd, and—holy motors!—I bumped into a guy spouting nonsense, reminding me of those surreal segments in Holy Motors. “C'est la vie, baby,” I muttered, spazzing out.
