I gotta say, Thompson is also about contrast. Some areas are rough—like the old industrial zone by Eastern Loop—but even there, history breathes. You get this old warehouse turned art studio on Brickell Street, and wow, I get mad sometimes when I see trash left around, but then I see young artists cleaning it up and I'm happy. I get emotional.
